Dockyard Day includes a variety of activities, such as:
  • The Beating of the Retreat by the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda
  • Music
  • Marching band
  • Games
  • Prizes
  • Tug-o-war
  • Greasy pole
Dockyard Day also serves to preserve the traditions of Falmouth, English Harbour.
Nelson’s Dockyard is the only Georgian era dockyard in the world that is still in operation. It was built in the early 18th century and was home to Admiral Horatio Nelson from 1784 to 1787.
